TULSA—Thanks to a generous gift from The HoganTaylor Foundation, Oklahoma State University’s new home for the Spears School of Business will include a team room that encourages students to collaborate and succeed just as HoganTaylor employees do every day. This $100,000 commitment to the OSU Foundation supports construction of the new state-of-the-art business building in Stillwater, Okla.
HoganTaylor CEO Randy Nail presented the check to OSU President Burns Hargis and OSU Foundation President Kirk Jewell at the firm’s Tulsa office on Wednesday.
“We are grateful to HoganTaylor for employing our graduates and for its generous support of the Spears School of Business,” Hargis says. “The HoganTaylor Team Room will offer OSU students a welcoming, creative space to work on collaborative projects. It will be one more way the new home of the Spears School of Business will offer a world-class education to the future employees and leaders of great companies such as HoganTaylor.”
The check presentation was part of a celebration honoring HoganTaylor Senior Advisor Jim Taylor for his selection as one of the “Spears School Tributes: 100 for 100” honorees during the business school’s centennial year.
“We are very thankful that HoganTaylor has made a gift toward our new building,” Ken Eastman, dean of the Spears School, said. “It is very fitting that the team room will be named in their honor as they have helped launch the careers of a number of our accounting students. We appreciate their dedication to the Spears School and OSU and we look forward to working with them in the future.”
The presentation of the check also served as the HoganTaylor’s official announcement of its new foundation, which formed recently to manage the firm’s growing support for the needs of the communities the firm serves by giving back through sponsorships, grants and volunteer support.
“A large percentage of our professionals come to us from Oklahoma State University so we are especially pleased to support the construction of the new Spears School of Business building. Our sponsorship of the newly created Team Room is also a great reflection of our firm culture which emphasizes the values of unity and innovation,” said Randy Nail, CEO.
