Chris Amburgy has 20 years of commercial banking, accounting and consulting experience. During his banking career, Chris managed the commercial lending function for a regional commercial bank and handled loan portfolios in excess of $250 million, working with private and public companies across a broad array of industries, including energy, manufacturing and financial services. His experience in the energy sector includes over 10 years lending to E&P, midstream and energy services companies, including several MLPs, as well as serving in a CFO / controller role for a mid-sized oil & gas company, where he is responsible for all day-to-day accounting and financial functions, including cash management, financial reporting and gas marketing. He has also served as Division Controller for a publicly-traded, regional bank, where he was responsible for financial reporting, planning and analysis for the bank’s commercial banking division.
His role as a bank executive, combined with his position as a trusted advisor to small and mid-sized business clients has given him a unique perspective in the areas of strategic planning, financial modeling, relationship management. Chris has evaluated and established complex debt and capital structures, financed multiple mergers and acquisitions and worked with clients to establish strong internal financial reporting to enhance communication with banks, vendors and other stakeholders. Over the past year, he has arranged over $70 million in senior debt financings, providing clients with access to greater liquidity to grow their business, while improving their overall cost of capital.
