Chris Lopp is a Consulting Executive at HoganTaylor. He is a CPA / MBA with more than 19 years of experience in financial management, strategic planning, business valuation, litigation support, and mergers and acquisitions transactions. Over the course of his career, Chris has worked for two Fortune 500 companies and a large privately owned corporation as well as owning a local business, which he grew and sold to a private equity group. Chris has gained broad industry experience working in the energy, health care, construction, retail, manufacturing and entertainment industries. This diverse experience has allowed Chris to serve as CFO for a variety of businesses on a short to medium term basis as they implemented their restructuring or growth plans or positioned themselves for acquisition or capital infusion.
In addition, Chris has broad transactional experience with both large and small companies, both on the side of the seller and the buyer, successfully working to negotiate terms, structure deals, perform due diligence, gain financing and close deals. He has advised clients during negotiations for a variety of transactions ranging from raising capital for financing energy projects to serving as Vice President of Business Development for a large entertainment technology company where he negotiated multi-year technology license and service contracts with cable and satellite companies both domestically and internationally. He has also performed numerous Business Valuation and litigation support engagements for clients over the years.
Chris is a graduate of the University of Tulsa with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in economics. In addition, he holds a master’s in business administration (MBA) with an emphasis in finance, also from the University of Tulsa. He is a Certified Public Accountant with an Accreditation in Business Valuation (ABV), a Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) from the AICPA, a Master Analyst in Financial Forensics (MAFF) from NACVA, and a Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners.
