Mike has more than 25 years of experience in public accounting and business administration. After beginning his public accounting career with a Big Four firm, Mike joined HoganTaylor’s predecessor firm, Hogan & Slovacek, where he supervised audit engagements for manufacturing, financial, service and nonprofit clients.
Mike then left the firm to establish the administrator position at a large, growing church. During that time, he set up financial systems, restructured debt and led fundraising efforts that secured a firm foundation for the organization’s future. After more than a decade serving a nonprofit, Mike began a new position in the medical/dental sector. As an administrator for two oral and maxillofacial surgery practices, he was responsible for establishing and managing all financial and operational aspects of the practices.
Mike recently returned to HoganTaylor, where he currently serves the firm’s growing Advisory practice as a Consulting Manager. At one time or another in his career, Mike has been responsible for most aspects of financial management, including cash management, budgeting, debt management, financial forecasting, and reporting. Mike’s extensive experience in the nonprofit and medical/dental sectors makes him uniquely qualified to provide outsourced CFO services and financial management services to clients in these industries.
