TULSA—HoganTaylor, one of the largest public accounting firms in the Oklahoma and Arkansas region, has promoted Chris Amburgy to partner. Amburgy’s appointment brings the total number of partners to 29 firm-wide and 19 in the firm’s Tulsa office.
“Chris is a dynamic young executive and leader with a strong business acumen which has helped spur the growth of the firm’s advisory practice,” Robert Wagner, HoganTaylor Partner and Advisory Practice Lead, said. “He is committed to the goals of the firm and his years of hard work have proven him deserving of this achievement.”
Amburgy has nearly two decades of commercial banking, accounting and consulting experience and currently serves as a member of HoganTaylor’s advisory practice. As a business advisor, he navigates clients through a wide variety of issues beyond accounting and finance. Amburgy is a former banking executive and still maintains strong relationships in the banking community.
Prior to joining the firm, Amburgy was a consulting executive at Wagner & Williams, LLC (W&W), a professional services firm that provided financial management services to small and mid-sized companies across a wide range of industries. In 2013, W&W merged with HoganTaylor LLP. Amburgy is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and received his bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Economics and Accounting from Oklahoma State University.
